Steel Warehouse, a leading steel processor and service center with 18 facilities in North America and Brazil, has appointed Scott Goben as business unit manager for its Chattanooga and Jefferson City, Tennessee, facilities. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of operations across both locations.
“Scott has spent his career in the same metal-forming and automotive supply environments our Tennessee customers operate in,” said Matt Black, VP and GM of Steel Warehouse. “He brings the lean and continuous-improvement discipline our customers count on, along with a relentless focus on quality and on-time delivery.”
Goben brings nearly 25 years of manufacturing leadership experience to Steel Warehouse. His background spans metal forming, stamping, precision machining, coating, and assembly. He has led cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, safety, maintenance, and continuous improvement, and played a key role in a greenfield startup and culture-change initiatives that drove measurable improvements in safety, quality, and cost. His experience aligns with the automotive and industrial customers served from the company’s Tennessee operations.
“I’m excited to join an organization with a 75-year history of customer relationships and a commitment to developing its people,” Goben said. “I look forward to working with the Chattanooga and Jefferson City teams to drive operational excellence and support our continuous improvement initiatives.”
Goben holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands and a Bachelor of Science in business management from Western Kentucky University.
