Automatic Feed Company (AFCO) has named Derek Faber as manager for the company’s AIM™ (Automation Integration Manager) software offering. In this position, Faber will be responsible for supervising the AIM technical team and supporting all AIM customer installations. AIM encompasses a range of manufacturing management software that provides visibility into information from the factory floor to improve productivity and profitability.
Faber has an extensive background in software development and programming as well as controls engineering. He has been a software engineer at Automatic Feed for the past year as well as an IT support specialist for the controls end electrical engineering groups. Prior to joining Automatic Feed, he worked at Marathon Petroleum Corporation as an advanced IT developer.
Faber has a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Franklin University; Nanodegree and Data Streaming Nanodegree certifications from Udacity and has completed Javascript Essential Training. He is a volunteer fire fighter for the New Bavaria, Ohio, Pleasant Township Fire Department as well as a junior high football coach for the Holgate Local Schools, Ohio.
